  • I like to try and give ppl the benefit of the doubt because I really do want them to be telling me the truth. I choose not to see it as being gullible, but rather as having a positive attitude! So, since you can tell when someone is lying maybe you can tell me if I'm really just lying to myself...
  • I'm much better at knowing when things they've said don't add up or it sounds fishy. But based more on logic and personal experience than if they look to the left or right, up or down. And in an online conversation you don't have the advantage of nonverbal ques. I also rely heavily on The Holy Spirit. I've had knowings before. Information I wouldn't logically know or promptings to call someone or check something for no reason only to find there was a reason.
  • Not 100% of the time, but I have gotten better at the skill as I've gotten older. Mostly, though, I've gotten better at assuming people might be mistaken and verifying things for myself. Whether they are purposefully lying or accidentally repeating lies they believe themselves to be true, it doesn't make any difference to me.
