  • Just ignore them if you can. If not, give them dirty looks back. If this doesn't work, try acting insane.
  • you know, in this day and age you would think that people could live and let live already. Whats important is the fact that you two are in love. Forget everyone else. Thats the only thing that matters. You cant change people. Have you ever pondered that maybe they are jealous...:)
  • Ignore them its none of there f*cking business.
  • You are better than that, just remind yourself. Also, remember love is the most important thing, forget the haters and enjoy your man. Congrats on the engagement. :)
  • I am in the same situation and the person that I'm with makes it real easy to ignore people. Try it, it get's easier trust me.
  • I cant say that it will ever really change,I dont know, but the only advice I can give you is to hell with them,if they stare then smile at them,if they make suggestions then smile at them, they are the ones who are out of place and not you, these things really anger me! Good luck in your wonderful future together from moonchild!
  • Just jealousy stare at their ugly clothes or shoes or kids lol j/k I don't know! People are just like that my husband and I are the same race but we get stared at, anything different from the average soccer mom seems to cause a lot of attention. Some handle it well, others try to make them feel like a higher power by not accepting it, which makes them look even more pathetic!!
  • Smile and ignore them. Let your happiness and confidence show them how wrong they are. Now if people have the gall to actually say something to you be prepared to be courteous but firm. A brother once asked one of my black girlfriends in Atlanta, "What he got that I ain't got?" She simply said, "Me." Good luck to you both! If you have kids together you know they'll be GORGEOUS!!!
  • Tell them they are more privileged then you because they can kiss your black ass and you can't.
  • I would ignore that.
  • Thank you all for your advice its good to know that there are people on our side. I now know that they are just jealous and i have to learn to ignore them but its quite hard as i always want to say something to them And my partner always stops me. I guess its best to ignore them once again thank you all for your advice. Kind regards x
  • Dow hat the rest of us living controversies do and suck it up. $h!t happens, and you have to deal with it, and know in the end that you're better than them.
  • Whats making them stare, the age difference? Ride it out or move - there are definitely better places to be where any differences you feel you have would be completely accepted or even unnoticed.
  • if we get attached to a person of another race in order to make a statement, then the statements of the people around us will be important, and we'll take them to heart. if we love the person, then what others say doesn't matter in the least! focus on the quality of your relationship and "follow your bliss". as for the people who give you bad looks, maybe smile at their frown and say, "have a blessed day". turn it around so they see how good of a person you are.
  • Have cute little pictures taken of yourselves together holding one another close printed up and give them to anyone who stares at you. Be sure and put... "God bless you." Love the _______ (Your names here) at the bottom.
  • Be confident ......give them smile ...they are jealous people.
  • Give them the finger.
  • Ah, you sound like Halle Berry and her man. Those people that give you looks are just jealous.
  • Honey you will always have those looks for the rest of your life, and your children will get the blunt of the stares and comments in school...Its hard..I have seen interacial marriages and its a hardship on everybody...good luck..
  • start making out in front of them
  • Are you talking about the age difference or that your skin color is different? I would just ignore the people giving you bad looks. They are probably just unhappy with something in their life and feel the rest of the world should feel as bad as they do. Be happy with your relationship and stop worrying about what a few others think.
  • Just ignore them and if that doesnt work - kiss ur man and grab his butt infront of them.
  • just dont pay any attention to people who stare at you funny. if you love him good luck it is you and him and no one else.
  • When you date an older man, there are going to be those stares, but probably directed towards him more than you. The whole "trophy wife" attitude, however, is starting to lose it's stigma, but there will still be plenty of people looking at him as a "cradle robber" and you as a "gold-digger" simply because of his age and your looks. Just shrug it off.
  • You don't have to explain yourself to anyone. Someone gives you a bad look? Just don't give a hoot about it...
  • Ignore those bad looks and look into the eyes of your loved one. Ppl who give bad looks are ignorant or possibly jealous that they don't have as strong a love as you guys!
  • Give your fiance a BIG smooch then look @ them and give them a bitchy smile (:
  • I wouldn't 'deal' with it. It's their problem, not yours. Just ignore them and let them go on their little narrow way.
  • Ignore them.
  • They're probably not giving you odd looks, There just checking you out honey.
  • im 22 (white male) and my wife of 4 years is a black female we love each other very much and have been getting looks for along time and she is 8 months pregnant and the one thing ive learned is the only way to deal with it is to genuinly not care if you love him enough the looks will mean NOTHING
  • 2nd Kings 5, Leviticus 13-15, and Numbers 12
  • Over time, you will learn to ignore the looks, to the point that you will hardly notice them, unless they are blatant. When I first started dating/loving a black girl in the 1990s, every time some dude would stare at us, I would turn to my date and say, "Another envious man!" We'd laugh, then go about our business.
  • Just ignore them. I was 20, looked 17 with a 43 year old boyfriend. When we went in a bar, everyone stopped talking and turned round. People do stare at anything different. They can't help themselves. A black friend of mine had the same problem when he was dating a white woman. No one actually said anything, but they got the looks. Best advice is ignore them. My boyfriend had a really tough time doing that, so it used to bother him a lot. I on the other hand just ignored it. I got so good at it I didn't even notice them anymore. He was hyper-sensitive to it. We're still together, 10 years later. If people are judging/staring, that is their problem, not yours. Just don't let it impinge on your life.
  • A guy with the luck to have a doll like you on his arm isn't going to notice that there even ARE other people, much less what they're looking at, or how. And you should feel safe enough with him to be able to ignore that, even if you feel it. So that's my advice: "What bad looks? Who cares?"
  • Crazy. Im a recently graduated college football(im black) player and i tell you i observed my other black teammates harassing a white teammate's girlfriend who was a black volleyball player; really good-looking. They texted her like "come get a reAL MAN" AND "WHY ARE YOU WITH A WHITE BOY". They were actually jealous bc she wasn't willing to be with them. They were not satisfied until they destroyed them. because of the constant stress, they eventually broke up. I severely rebuked my teammates for it. I told them they were the epitome of a hater. During thIs ordeal, i told the white teammate to just focus on their relationship with each other. As long as they are willing to endure it, it will last.
