  • They shouldn't. I'm sure there are black people that don't find white people attractive too. You're allowed to have preference, just like some women don't like to date shorter men or some men prefer redheads. It's all a matter of choice.
  • If you don't find someone's features attractive, don't feel gulited into thinking its racial. Its like liking bread, maybe you don't like rye, but that doesn't mean you don't like bread.
  • Could it be your KKK hood?
  • they shouldn't think you are racist. I don't find some races attractive either. Why do you think most white people marry white people, black marry blacks, and so on. It's ok to not be attracted to other races.
  • Maybe it's the way you say it or point it out, everyone has their own personal preferences.
  • Because it's about race and it's a generalization. It doesn't mean you're racist, but it DOES mean that some people are going to be stupid and assume so.
  • Same here. It's just who you are attracted to.
  • I don't know why people would think you're racist. Everyone has different attractions. I'm plus size and I would rather be with a slim build guy. So to each it's own.
  • You don't find some black people attractive, or any of them? Is it because they are black? The term racist gets thrown around an awful lot these days..I don't think not finding blacks attractive qualifies you to be called a racist. If you said you don't LIKE black people BECAUSE they are black..different story. I find it hard to believe that anyone would not find Halle Berry drop dead gorgeous..as well as Shemar Moore *drool*.
  • I wouldn't consider that racist. I do find it interesting that you don't find any blacks attractive. I can find attractive and unattractive members of all races, myself. Some people will assume that you are racist because you don't find any blacks attractive, and the criteria you state is simply skin color.
  • I wouldn't call you a racist. I'd say others do because you're probably open about this. Do you discuss this to your friends and family? They probably misunderstood you and think that you think all blacks are ugly.
  • If you are not attracted to certain features, that is your choice. If you still have black friends, then you are not racist. If you live in your own world, then I might be worried.
  • "I don't find (black people) attractive". See you didn't say "some black men"; you generalized by using the words "black people". That statement right there qualifies you to be a racist-most likely not of your fault-but that of your upbringing. You are a racist in denial, like many white people in this country. Many of you-including those who claim NOT to be racist-will not pass a racist test. And believe me, there are many ways to test your level of racism.
  • You like what you like, what is wrong with that.
  • There are certain people I do not find attractive . Maybe if we do not make a song and dance about it people will not call us names. With me it has nothing to do with race or ethnicity it is just certain people an attitude and a look.I like Tall men but that does not mean I denigrate or dislike shorter men . I just do not make an issue of it.
  • No it doesn't mean you are racist. I am kinda like this myself. I find many many black women attractive but not so many men. Actually that goes the same for white men and women as well...more pretty women then men. What does that make me??? Am I a sexist?
  • When someone makes a broad statement against an entire race, religion or other category, it makes me wonder. That's not a statement I would call you out on, but it would make me wonder. . What situation would even call for a statement like that. If a black guy asked you out, I would expect to hear "no thanks", not "I don't find black people attractive". . And if the situation ever did came up where that type of statement was warranted, to make it not appear racist, you might try "I've not been physically attracted to a black person yet", which shows you are open to possible situations instead of permanently closed off from them. . Who you are attracted to is a personal choice, how you announce that choice determines how people judge you for it.
  • Racism has many definitions, the most common and widely accepted being that members of one race consider themselves intrinsically superior to members of other races. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racism You don't consider yourself superior, you're not just attracted to people of a certain race. That isn't racism. It's your personal preference, something that all of us are entitled to have.
  • Because their feelings are hurt that you aren't attracted to them. Everyone wants to feel attractive. You're not a racist in my opinion you're just honest.
  • Honey, I just can't BELIEVE that you wouldn't find me attractive. If you didn't, you wouldn't be racist, you would be in denial.
  • It's hard to buy into that "YOU AREN'T A RACIST" because first, what is your motive(s) for bringing that subject up? I can't, with precise certainty, pinpoint your reason(s) or motive(s); but what I can tell you is that things don't happen in a vacuum. By saying(or denying) that "you aren't a racist will not suffice to convince anyone that that is true. Now, I want you to know that it makes no difference to me--and probably to most black--wether or not you're a racist. If you are, we will not be shocked or suprised one bit That's not anything new about it because by now we're pretty much used to it; and one more of you will not change anything one way or another. So my point of contention is not precisely about you being a racist, but about you denying it. Every race in our world, including yours--has "unattractive" people, but you had to choose the Blacks in particular to throw your punches at. Why? Why not the Asians?, Why not the Arabs? Why not Indonisians? Why not Latinos? Why not Native Americans? And why not caucasians? You cannot tell us that you never have seen any "unattractive" male and female caucasian because we know better. I'm quite sure you've seen white guys that you would not give them ever as much as the time of the day. Ain't that right? Do you feel the same way about other races or is just Blacks? In my life time I've seen a lot of "unattractive" caucasians but I never made too much of it because I'm very mindfull that that which we call "unattractive" can be found in every race and is not something relegated just to one particulas group of people. Take care of yourself. PEACE!
  • Thank you very much for your candor. Now if you don't mind, please educate yourself on true beauty.
  • You are okay Babe I'm not into red heads...does that make me a hair a phobe.. no I don't hate them it's just not my taste..to each their own ..but if you put yourself out there , in a manner:I don't like this and I don't like that...what are you saying? aren't you attracted to a certain type? It's okay to be attracted to a certain type it doe not make you predjudice and don't let anyone tell you that. Your Life your preference. You are unique we are all attracted to other people because of how they make us feel.PS I'll propably fall madly in love with a red head
  • People that call you a racist ..are
  • It truly sounds like you express your opinion a little to loud and ask for what you get . I have to be honest
  • I don't know. I had someone call me a racist not long ago. I get along with everyone, no matter the color. They caused me so much trouble, threatened my life, scared my children. All because I didn't want them taking over my phone, car etc.
  • Because people are lazy and cannot be bothered to think about what another person expresses as an opinion. If they thought about what you said, then they would realise that you are not saying you don't like black peoples or think they are less because of their skin colour, you are saying they don't physically attract you...I don't find asian peoples overly physically attractive either - so what. There are a lot of caucasian people I don't find physically attractive. So do I hate my own kind?
  • It's people like that who broaden the racial gap. Ignore them.
  • I don't think you're racist. You may not be attracted to redheads either. That's not racist.
  • If you were a racist you wouldn't ask..in fact you wouldn't care ...theres your answer
  • lufft, why would they unless you made it a point to state your "preference" out loud? And why would you do this? I am not attracted to obese white women with mustaches who need a wash, but I don't feel the need to announce this to anyone.
  • Do you make disparaging comments about their looks? I don't find overly muscular men attractive either, but no one knows that because I have just said that for the first time in my life. :(
  • People call you racist because you are generalising about people due to their colour. ANY generalisation about anyone because of their race/colour/nationality is racist. Its the same as saying "Men are stronger than woman". Now while most people would agree that is generally true, saying a man is stronger than a woman purely because he is a man and she is a woman is sexist.
  • You need to keep something like that to yourself. Racism is a very touchy situation, even today.
  • Because the government is programming people to think that way. The government, especially politicians, need to promote this type of warfare.
  • Hi, may I ask you something...I don't think you're racist however, if someone hot by many races, how would you respond?
  • I think that statement was quite racist. You say you don't find black people attractive and this suggests you don't see them as individuals. Every person has a different face with features varying in size and shape so you couldn't possibly know that you don't find an entire race of people physically appealing unless you had personally seen every member of that particular race. Barring this exact scenario yes I would say you were a racist.
  • at least you are honest ! bravo.
  • Have you seen Beyonce or Vanessa Williams or Halle Berry? My keyboard got hot typing their names.
  • When you categorize people based on race first it makes you appear racist. "Black people" are people first and black second.
  • Based on your question, you are a racist. If you generalize an entire group's appearance, or your proclivity to be attracted to anyone based on the racial group they are in, it's a form of prejudice based on race. Therefore, it is racism. You have not seen every black woman in the world. You have no idea if you could ever find a black woman attractive. You have a preconceived notion that it would be impossible for you to do so based on steretypes of the race itself. It's racism, sorry.
  • The word, "Racist" is one of the most over used and BTW also used incorrectly today which cheapens the word. Most will used it as a default to shut down a debate. The media and our educational dept. has done a wonderful job in redefining a word.
  • Could be because for know apparent reason you thot you had to go to the bag and tell folks about it. Mebbee, in real life, you tell folks about your feelings for no reason? I mean without being asked for it. Me, I am not even an uglyist. I don't just pipe up and say I find ugly people, of any race, unattractive. Being one myself, an ugly person that is, I have learned to look beneath the skin. I find many attrative people unattractive. But I keep my mouth shut 'less I'm asked my opinion on the entire subject.
  • i don't think it's racist to find another race physically unattractive.
  • I tend to be attracted to men with big forearms..Does that mean I'm an armist?.. I think it's peoples preference..And everyone has a right to their preference...
  • I just answered your question.. but I looked at your picture,,guess what you are black...you are clever...Lmao
  • You are not racist by any means. People have the right to be atreacted to whoever they desire. being racist is when you discriminate agaisnt a whole entire race in a negitive manner and steriotype the race.
  • they shouldn't I'm white and I'm not attracted to black people either.
  • Im not attracted to Chinese peeps but I dont think that makes you racist at all.
  • I wouldnt call that racist!! But honey a man is a man!!
  • I'm white and I don't find white or black people attractive................but asians
  • I am Caucasian, it means white, and I don't have any preferences for white people. That does not make me a racist. Be careful on how you express yourself, read what Patti jo says in her answer she is right. You should also remember that when we insist too much on any race issue it could mean we are trying to pretend the contrary of what we truly feel. Just be careful on how you phrase what you say and write. Other than that you should be fine. Best Regards.
  • Mabye, they are calling you racist for reasons other than the fact that you don't find blacks attractive?
  • im black and i dont think its racist. i wouldnt date a hispanic but im not racist.
  • Unfortunately you are both racist. Sorry its the dictionary meaning and you could have saved yourself some time and public embarrassment by simply looking it up. To save you some time, here it is straight from the dictionary:- Racist : the belief that all members of each race possess CHARACTERISTICS or abilities specific to that race. Relating to you those characteristics would be PHYSICAL characteristics. How can you tell if you are attracted to someone's features if you can't get past the colour?? My best friend is West Indian, I am part aussie, part chinese and part jewish apparently (who cares anyway!!) and we literally have the same physical facial features!? Now if we were racist in the way you are we would never have been able to see past colour to make that distinction. But we're not racist! Its ok for you, it seems everyone is racist to some degree in this new millenium, it would help if you could be honest about it, or at least AWARE, as educated seems to much of a stretch! Relating to the Hispanic Hater, dude there is no confusion there, no matter what you call it, if you judge an entire race by it, its racist and you should know better. Get over the word, its all you! And I bet the Hispanic community are breathing easier knowing they don't have waste their time on you. Not because of you race but because of you morals. Now there's a reason!! Thankyou both for showing why the world is in the state its in! The Ignorance of small minds! Love, intelligence and education to you both!!
  • Its ok, I am not physically attracted to folks outdie of my race. Its no big deal. Most people are attracted to their own.
  • If you hang out with people outside your race and become a good friends with someone of the opposite sex (or same sex if your into that), and said person wants to date you, this is going to happen.
  • I don't know why, but I'm the same way. I find very few black women attractive, and very few Asian women.
  • I'm the same way and when I asked a similar question I get big time flack for it. I was told that if I think someone is good looking then I should want to be with them. Some people don't understand the difference between finding someone good looking and wanting to be with them. I completely understand where you are coming from.
  • We are genetically inclined to be attracted to our own race. Evolved humans have overcome this hurdle and whilst remaining faithful to ones creed, are able to see beauty in all. Some have suffered adverse experiences at the hands of a member of an ethnic group and this seriously marrs their attitude towards the same. They pass through life with an ingrained loathing of a certain group. Abuse victims of all kinds suffer this. If you have no attraction towards an ethnic group so be it. Voicing it is intentionally as harmful as another speaking in a derogative way toward your creed. The knife indeed does cut deep both ways.
  • How do you express this preference? That may have something to do with why people call that. Are you using a derogatory name to identify black people? What's your tone? Is it mocking or insulting?
  • Okay most white people wouldn't find anyone besides themselves attractive because they think there are superior, I think you are a racist and anyone who doesn't think so is probably a racist too, I bet you find your own race attractive, that is the mentality of white people, I find your comment very offensive I am black and beautiful and proud
  • dont sweat it. my dad always said your not a man until you split black wide open, but i never took him up on that. i have found some black women attractive, but they were more mulatto or 'yellabone' as might be more understood. ohfasho. good question to ax.
  • its called genetics. survival instinct. its how humans have kept producing generations of children with same ethnicity as our own. laws of attraction. its innate nature. so you dont find black people attractive of course youre not racist but to say it, seems degrading. sometimes....you just got to zip it.
  • im black and i'm not physically attracted to white people. however, i have 2 best friends that are white. so yea, i'm not racist either.
  • This is interesting......I was once labeled a racist (hating whites).....but little did they know that my long distance relationship was with a white woman. I never said anyhting in my defence. They were shocked the day she came to the office. This showed that people are quick to label and name-call. In my books a racist can't be detemined solely by their choice of relationships....those who think so are just plain stupid.......For a long time i never dated a black woman, though I'm black. I've a cousin who neve dated a black woman.....he's now married to a white woman.....but he is still a member of the 'Black Consciouness'.....
  • Because they are fools.
  • It's normal not racism, I mean sure I dated 2 black guys, but it never worked out. Both of them were more friends to me then anything, one was even bi! which was quite interesting because you don't see many black guys like that, but he really was sweet so it was easy to fall for something like that. But I found a man that is better and more handsome then all in the world, so I'm happy! -Jessica Edgell soon to be Zeidler.
  • My frustration with the term 'racism' , though I by no means want to invalidate it, is that it's implications are very personal and it is often taken personally (so people get defensive and it becomes impossible to have a productive conversation) YES, a blanket statement of "I don't find black people attractive IS Racist. But I don't mean that you (who I obviously know nothing about) are a terrible, cruel, prejudiced and vindictive person--or whatever people think they're accused of when they're pegged with the 'racecard'. What I mean is that though standards of beauty are personal and subjective, they are also learned, and shaped, if not flat-out created by the influences of your environment, and that environment, regardless who who are or where you're from, is racist. American (and global) Media has long established an expectation of beauty to be white (and stick-thin, but that's another issue). Look at Disney, when have you ever seen a handsome black man in a disney film? (even Alladin's Character design was based in Tom Cruise). Who are the role models? The country's 'hearthrobs'? who is mass society taught to think of as the beautiful? So the statement is racist in that it is a direct product of a racist society. In a sense, it's a racism you aren't really responsible for. You have come to your own tastes, and you're entitled to them. I don't mean to critique that. Though being a product of your society shouldn't excuse ignorance. You don't have to change who you're attracted to, ever, just be conscious. do some research and some introspection--try to keep an open mind.
  • I think it gets one deemed racist because people aren't like carrots. You can't like the taste of one carrot but hate carrots can you? You either hate carrots or you like them. But people aren't like carrots, they are all different, they have different looks and smells and attitudes and "flavors" unlike carrots that are orange and taste about the same..though some might be a little bigger than others and some a little sweeter. So what I'm trying to say is, to generalize in such a broad way that you do not find blacks attractive sounds like you have written off all blacks when not all blacks look the same. What is is about blacks you do not find attractive? IS it one thing or many? You might dislike their hair color but not all have the same hair color, you might not like their skin color, but not all have the same color...in essence what are your reasons for not being attracted? And more imprtantly how are you answering the question to others? For example IF someone asked you, hey do you like black girls? Maybe you could say, I might, I dunno, I prefer blondes... That doesn't sound racist that you prefer one thing over another. But to answer like; "No, blacks are ugly" sounds racist. You never know, you might not be attracted to any of the blacks you have met so far but that doesn't mean you might not meet a beautiful woman that is black one day. Think about your delivery of how you answer these questions, I would say that is more what gets you labeled than your actual preferences.
  • they shouldnt, like others have said everyone has their own opinions and preferences. Your not going around calling them names or making fun of them in anyway. you just dont find them attractive. My gf is the same way... she says she thinks hispanic and black guys are just ugly. I dont like mexican girls but i love my gf and shes puerto rican. Everyone has a preference, what you like is what you like. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Ive heard that so many times and its true. dont let what others think change what you like or how you feel.
  • Everybody thinks they have to be PC
  • It doesn't necessarity mean you are racist. I know lots of black people who don't find white people attractive - some of them are racist, some of them are not. I believe it's personal preference. My current boyfriend is white, he had never dated a black woman before, just circumstances. Don't let people worry you with their judgments :)
  • Because you are making a general statement. You don't find black people attractive, and you have seen maybe only 1 percent of black people in the world...I don't think your racist, i just think you worded it wrong, instead you could say out of all the black people i have met, i haven't found any attractive. You are entitled to your tastes, and opinions. It's how you express them that would make people question it. I didnt' think that when i read your question. I just figured what you meant to say is that you haven't found any attractive.
  • I don't think you're racist at all. Its more matter of what you're attracted to and you can't force yourself to be attracted to something you're not. Maybe some people may consider me racist also...cuz I'm usually not attracted to white or asian(and I'm mostly asian myself).
  • Lacking information for a well informed answer.
  • Because you are grouping together a whole race...your not looking at the individuals....I wouldn't call you racist... I would call you nutz....every culture...every race have beautiful attractive people in them...except whities......ha
  • There's a slight taste of racism in your statemant.. just like there's a slight taste of shallowness in the answer i'm about to give.. I think you would be attracted to black people if they were attracted to you..so either your unattractive or you have no personality at all or lacking in confidence and have a low self asteem..The reason ive said this is because its a known fact and has been proven, that people are most attracted to others who are attracted to them.. Peace!
  • just because you don't find black people to be attractive doesn't necessarily make you a racist. maybe you have to be careful in the way you say that you don't find black people attractive. do you find other races attractive and not just black people?
  • i do not think you are racist. i do think it is sad that you are unable to find 1 attractive quality amongst a sea of people that are so varied. people probably call you racist because the statement sounds so incredibly deragatory.
  • do you ever ask yourself why you do not find them physicaly attractive? answer yourself that first and you will have the answer you are looking for.
  • Probably because you go around telling people "I don't find black people attractive". Had you not brought it up in the first place, people wouldn't have any indication of racism. -Except that you're white. All you honkeys are racist.
  • Out of ignorance. I don't like red headed men. I never have. I don't find them attractive at all. It's simply personal preference. In college, there was this awful jerk who asked me out repeatedly at a party. He wouldn't leave me alone. He was obnoxious and disgusting and totally drunk. Finally, he said to me "You won't date me because I'm black right! Racist [insert C word here]." I looked him right in the eyes and told him "No, it's because you are an [insert alternative name for a donkey here]. Don't let people play that card with you. It's manipulative.
  • haha youre not a racist! im black . i dont find white guys attractive. end of sory.
  • haha youre not a racist! im black . i dont find white guys attractive. end of sory.
  • I don't think that is really racist... I definitely am more attracted to women of my same skin color but I don't think that black girls are ugly... some of them are quite beautiful actually
  • I don't know why you don't like other races. I prefer Filipinas over all other women on the entire Planet. I am a white man. I really don't prefer any white women at all though. I have some black ladies who I like and we really do joke together a lot. We don't date but I don't dislike them.
  • Same here usually there are some that I find attractive but most of the time I prefer white women I have many friends who are black/Indian etc that don't call me racist because of this as some of them also find their own race more attractive. At the end of the day its what you like so people shouldn't be offended by it . There is a big difference between saying a race is ugly and saying you don't find them physically attractive.
  • People call you racist because when you say that, you're making the false assumption that you know what "all black people" look like. Ridiculous. They all look different.
  • i dont think thats racist...and ppl shouldnt call u racist...im mexican and i dont find white boys attractive at all...so that doesnt make me racist either...
  • i dont think your racist ,i feel the same about chinese men but im not racist as my partner is asian, but i think there are loads of gorgeous black men ,not everyone has the same tastes each to their own is what i say.
  • I have a significant preference for other people that are Caucasian, I don't think it makes me racist, either; its no different in my mind than that I'm not interested in blonds- and not for stereotypes, the hair is simply not a feature I find aesthetically appealing.
  • Just tell them "Even the birds stick to their own."
  • I'm not attracted to people with ginger hair but I don't hate them. It's your taste, and it doesn't mean you are a racist. Jut because you arent attracted to sb it doesnt mean you have 'issues' with them.
  • You are not in my opinion. You just have your preference to people.
  • Nothing wrong with that. You don't like them. Fine. For the record...I LOVE PRETTY WOMEN ALL OF THEM!!!!!!
  • PROBLEY BECAUSE YOUR LIKE ME, A PERSON THAT DOES'NT THINK MIXED MARRIAGE IS GOOD. CAN YOU IMAGINE HAVEING CHILDREN THAT MAY ONE DAY BE HALF WHITE AND HALF COLORED. ANYWAY, I DONT HAVE FEELINGS FOR THE MOST BEAUTIFUL YOUNG COLORED WOMEN ANYWHERE, ITS LIKE I SAID ITS NOT ONE OF OUR THINGS AND IF OTHERS DONT LIKE IT, SO BE IT. HAVE A NICE DAY. MIKE
  • u aren't....thats not racism..there are blacks who are the same...not attracted to whites....asian that are just not attracted to black & white either...
  • I've read what a lot of people had to say and its true what some of them are saying, you may not think your racist but the way you say "i'm not attracted to black people" is such a disturbing way. Maybe you didn't seem to come off that way but it does kind of make you sound racist. U say that its like bread just cause you don't like wheat but you like white bread doesn't mean you like bread but what if you've never tried wheat? If you never dated someone outside your race then how do you know you don't like to date black people?
