Work is the product of Force and the Distance that force moves an object. In equation form: W = F * d Work is often measured in Joules (Newton meter), Force in Newtons, and Distance in meters. Energy is the capability of a thing to do work. There are a variety of different forms of energy, and I won't get into all of them here. For the purposes of relating Energy to Work, it usually suffices to talk only about Kinetic Energy. E = 1/2 * m * v^2 m = mass (usually in kg) and v = velocity (in meters / second). E = Kinetic Energy and is usually measured in Joules. The relationship between the two is given in the WorkEnergy formula: W = E1  E2 , where E1 is initial Energy and E2 is final Energy. Power is Work done over Time. P = W / t P = Power in Watts, W = Work in Joules, and t = time in seconds. Units applied are typical of physics problems, but they can be exchanged for other units (Imperial or otherwise) if so required.
