  • Do a headstand then drink a glass of water upside down.
  • the only way i have found that gets rid of my hiccups everytime (and i have tried so many ways), is to get on the floor and do as many push ups as you can. sounds stupid, but something about it losens your diaphram up. i think that's why you hiccup to begin with is a tightening of the diaphram so...
  • hold your breath and drink 18 of the SMALLEST SIPS YOU CAN POSSIBLY TAKE
  • well, i hear it helps if you get scared. so... i'm thinking about going down into the "bad" part of town around dusk and waiting for somebody to mug me or something. good times!
  • Drop a cold key down the hiccupers back without them knowing.
  • What always works for me (unless someone sees and gets me laughing) is to drink a glass of water while plugging my ears. NOT with ear plugs. It takes so much concentration that it stops the hiccups.
  • When I was 16 Yrs. old I was with a friend when I started having hiccups. No sooner than I started he asked the most random question, "What swims in the ocean"? he asks, like it was the most natural question in the world. The question was so easy it actually stumped me for a second until I blurted out, "fish"! My friend asked if I still had the hiccups, and to my amazement they were gone. I am now 33 and have been fascinated by this since it first happened. The best I can tell is that as long as the person with the hiccups get their mind distracted within the first few hiccups, it seems to work about 98% of the time. There are many ways, but they all seem to come down to one similar thing, distracting the thought process, therefore stopping the hiccups. The only fault with that thinking is that I have noticed that if they have had the hiccups for lets say 1 minute, then it tends not to work, no matter what technique is used. Maybe a combination of distracting the mind and another variable, I am not sure. I only know I have been fascinated by this and enjoy freaking people out with the consistent result. Just what I have noticed. I hope it helps and I hope people who try it have as much fun as I do with it.
