  • Dump that B&*#@! Anyone would be so happy to get that!
  • Not everyone sees romance in the same light. They key to being truly romantic is to understand and know the likes and dislikes of the other person. It is easy to know what you appreciate. It takes more work to learn what is special to someone else. So to honestly answer your question, no, I'm not a rose petal kind of person. I think it has been done on tv too many times. It doesn't mean that someone else wouldn't like it. But I would hope that my husband knows me enough to know this about me. (so far so good on that one)
  • I would LOVE to have someone do that for me. Trust me you are not a wuss.
  • wow.......sounds wonderful.....is she nuts???
  • Personally, it sounds bloody awful. Rose petals in the bath might look good in films but in real life, not so good. If you want to be romantic, take her out to dinner (she will have had the bath before you meet up and done her make-up - and we won't mention what her hair will look like after all that steam, never mind her face). If u want to give her flowers, bring some with you (ones she likes not automatically a bunch of roses). It's also worth remembering exactly how a 'nice hot bath' makes you feel when you get out - roasty toasty, wrinkled and red in the face. God help me, all that time spent beforehand with a set of hair straighteners and there you are, offering a room full of steam and condensation. No.
  • I love the sentiment of it but I would prefer rose petals leading to the bedroom and then petals all over the bed. But not everyone might think so. I know that a bath would not be high on some people's list. My nephew tried to set up a nice surprise for his wife, thinking she would love it. They were just married. We have a wood fired hot tub out in the woods and we were gonna be away for the weekend. We preheated it just right for him. He asked her to go for a walk in the woods and then suggest they go in the hot tub. She hated the idea. No way was she going to take off her clothes. It turned out to be very UNromantic to her. Oh well, he learned something. Too bad for her, because it is just hevenly out there.
  • I would love that! Keep up the good work with your lady!
  • That sounds wonderful! Your lady is lucky!
  • she called you a wuss. she needs dropping. throw in a couple of scented candles and it would be extra
  • i wish my boyfriend was more like you! do you have any brothers?? cousins?? anything? hell id date your dog! being sweet and thoughtful is NOT wussy. youre the best, and dont stop being yourself!!
  • What a nice guy you are! I would love any romantic gesture, especially if I didn't have to clean up the mess afterwards! Don't be discouraged. If she doesn't appreciate your thoughtfulness, find someone who does!
  • Wow - somewhere there is at least one girl in dire need of an attitude adjustment! Tell ya what - you keep right on being exactly who you are , romantically speaking. If she doesn't appreciate it, find someone else. I'm VERY serious. That is ridiculous!
  • I think it is a really nice gesture and there's nothing wuss like about it. Even if it wasn't really her thing, you meant well and should not have been called a name for trying.
  • Regardless if it was liked or not.........The effort in itself should of been the deciding factor. You never did say who was responsible for the wuss comment. If it was her....I guess some women just like the testosterone manly stuff.
  • What?! Wuss? Heck, NO! I want it, I want it!! **Being romantic takes balls and it's chivalrous of you for making the effort**
  • Wow, that would be wonderful! How long have you been dating? IF not that long that would be uncomfortable to have someone watch you in the bath. However, this does not make you a wuss. HELLO there isn't many romantics anymore. Don't change who you are!!!!!
  • I would love it..feel free to come over anytime. The bathroom's just through there and the roses are in the garden out the back :)
  • the bath part i'd be somewhat iffy on, but the gesture itself i think is one of the sweetest ideas. find a new girl, you don't shoot somebody down for thinking of you.
  • Thats awesome, I would LOVE it. Thats very romantic. She's obviously doesn't deserve it or u.
  • Where is she? I'll slap her face! Even if it wasn't her "thing" she could have been polite and accepted the gesture. But who the hell wouldn't like that! I've never even had a candle lit dinner, I'd prolly have a stroke if someone did what you did! Find someone who appreciates you!
  • Man-try a different girl dude! Most wpmen would melt at that. It works for me after 7 years of marriage! It has to be spontaneous and not because of a fight though.
  • I guess it depends on how close I felt I was with the guy. It may also depend on the guy. I can see how that could be viewed as you coming on too strong.
  • That is a nice thing to do for someone. It's personal preference, though.Maybe your girl would have preferred a boxing match instead?
  • that would be amazing!!!
  • I'd love it! You're not a wuss unless you didn't try to make the most of the hot bath with her. ;)
  • Personally I don't like baths unless it's in a big jacuzzi tub with my BF but besides that I think you did a great job and if I were her I would be extremely grateful.
  • Get your rose petals together and get the rest of you on over to my house!! Romantic gestures like that do not come along very often. I'm not sure your girl realizes how good she has it! So what if it isn't exactly her thing? She should have been thrilled with the effort you put forth...
  • if you were my friend and you done that i would disown you brother, you send her flowers with a pre written card like the rest of us double hard bastards!!
  • OMG! Where have you been all my life?? She needs slapped, cuz what she did to you is almost like you calling her a *Bitch* for baking you a cake.
  • It depends. Who is cleaning up the tub after?
  • You have to remember that not all women like the same things. I LOVE all the romantic stuff from flowers to candles so I say bring on the bath! But she shouldn't be so mean to say you are a wuss.
  • I would love one! could you call my man and tell him to do that for me! you arnt a wuss in my eyes!
  • My husband isn't the romantic type at all....and to be honest most romantic getures come off as cheesy to me, but if he took the time to set that up and to have been thinking of something special he could do for me I would love it regardless. I think it's kinda BS for her to talk down to you when you were just trying to show her that you care....If she liked it or not is not the point, it's supposed to be the thought that counts.....Maybe you should just be a jerk to her, seems she would enjoy that more than a romantic "wuss".
  • Yeah it's lame and not even original. I'm not surprised you were called a wuss. She got all dressed up, and you had your chance to show her off to the world, and you basically told her, "bltch you stank, go take a bath". LOL. It's like buying her a thighmaster for her birthday. You sound like the type of guy who let your women control you. How old are you? If you 19 or early 20's doing that kinds of things, than yeah. She would rather go clubbing. I wouldn't be surprised if your next move were to take her to a football game where you propose to her, or tell her you loved her on a big screen and she runs away. You sound like that kind of guy.
  • Try adding a good Italian wine, (before you start) or just hand her the bottle.
  • Not my thing... but I will take a foot rub and then dinner... that would be cool.
  • find a new woman! lol. there aint nothing wussy about being romantic, i wish my old man was romantic.
  • women are like machines, if you turn them on you have to put the wood in it.
  • Poor you!
  • It depends on the woman, who the woman is (wife? new girlfriend?), her reaction to it and whether you care what the other "guys" say. Some women don't really like showy, romantic gestures. Yet, some live for that. Anyway, skrew the people who tease you. THEY are the wusses because they bend over backward to not be nice or sensitive, which makes them weak.
  • It sounds like you're dating a conceited, high maintenance bitch.
  • I would love for a guy to do that for me!!! I do not know why you would be called a wuss for doing this!
  • I think that you are fantastic !
  • You have to keep in mind that different people like different things. It's nice of you to try to do something romantic for her, but don't base it off of what you see in the movies, find out what SHE considers romantic. :)
  • First off, you're not a wuss. Your gesture was not only romantic, it was sweet, and thoughtful. I love things like this and I would have appreciated even more because you took the time to do this for me. Women are sooooooo picky and hard to please it's annoying. My goodness! A man does something nice for you and you complain about it? Women can be so ungrateful.
  • id love it soooooooooooooooo sooooooooooooo much
  • feck the ungrateful people that called u a wuzz. id be so happy if u my boyfriend .
  • Well, make sure you clean up those petals before they go down the drain because a plumbing bill is not romantic at all.
  • IT'S A LOVELY GESTURE, I WOULD BE LAPPING IT UP MAYBE SHE'S NOT THE ONE
  • What you did was nice. Don't worry about what the guys say. Hint, next time just don't tell them.
  • It's not what I'm into. But I think it was a very romantic gesture that should have been appreciated and you should not have been called a wuss for that.
