  • This is not ONLY women! I have experienced actually more males in this situation. Many men like to keep their feelings to themselves, some women may feel the same. Some people may say "nothing" because they want time to think or they want you to paw at them more. It really depends.
  • It normally means that we're mad at YOU (our men, not you personally :-p), and if we won't tell you why, it usually means that we're either annoyed that you don't already know why you're in trouble, or that we're not really sure if we're justified in our anger, but we're feeling it anyway and trying to hide it.
  • Puzzling, isn't it!??? I'm a female and I don't know why they do it. . . . . .EITHER! When I'm pissed. . . . .I'm MORE THAN HAPPY to tell they guy why-y-y-y-y-y-y!!!!
  • sometimes men "don't wanna talk about it" and eventually avoid things that should be resolved so we can move on. if something isn't resolved and ANOTHER thing occurs, we get pissed. we kinda feel like they should know why we're upset. it all comes down to men being bad at communicating in relationships. some can fix problems and some are cowards.
  • when i'm in that mood...im still so upset or in anger...and im not that ready to talk yet or open it up yet...then usually when i say nothing at the back of my head i would say stupid, insane, and then usually i hate you...
  • Saying 'Nothing' might mean that if you care enough and go slowly, you can talk with us and we might get to feeling comfortable enough to say what's in our heart. Often we don't really know how to put it into words but with some 'well seasoned' words, we can find a way. Not much different than a man who refuses to talk at all :-)
  • This is not just a feminine trait. Men do it too. It's called passive aggressive. Don't let anyone pull this. Call them on it.
  • when we say nothing is wrong, what we mean is: nothing is wrong that we havent already talked to you about and it continues nothing is wrong that you are actually gonna care about nothing can be wrong without you saying we are nagging and b8tching nothing is any more wrong than it was the last time you asked nothing is wrong other than what we have been arguing about for the past 3 hours so guys...basically, when she says "nothing" is wrong, it means "its a little too late to do the right thing now!"
  • Don't you know that you're supposed to be psychic??? lol
  • I do not say nothing. If I am upset I will clearly state why I am upset. I do not expect my partner to be a mind reader.
  • Women's Key Words and Their Meanings "Fine": This is the word we use at the end of any argument that we feel we are right about but at this point just want you to shut up. Never use fine to describe how a woman looks. This will cause you to have one of those arguments. "Five minutes": This is really half an hour. It is equivalent to the "five minutes" that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so it's an even trade. "Nothing": This means something and for that you should be on your toes. Nothing is usually used to describe the feeling that a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. Nothing usually signifies the beginning of an argument that will last "five minutes" and end with the word "fine." "Go ahead" (with raised eyebrows): This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over "nothing" and ultimately end with the word "fine." "Go ahead" (normal eyebrows): This means "I give up," or "Do what you want because I don't care." You will often find a raised eyebrow "go ahead," several minutes later, followed then by "nothing" and "fine," and she will talk to you in about "five minutes" when she cools off. Loud sigh: Though not actually a word, it is still a verbal statement very often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "nothing." Soft sigh: Again, not a word, but nevertheless a verbal statement. Soft sighs are one of the few things that some men actually understand: She is content. Your best bet is to not move or breath and she will stay content. "Oh": This word followed by any statement means trouble. Example: "Oh, let me get that." Or, "Oh, I talked to him about what you were doing last night." If she says "Oh" before a statement, RUN‹do not walk‹to the nearest exit. She will tell you that she is "fine," as she tosses your clothes out the window, but do not expect her to talk to you for at least two days. "Oh" as the lead to a sentence usually suggests that you are caught in a lie. Do not try to lie any more to get out of it, or you will get the raised eyebrows "go ahead," followed by acts so unspeakable that we can't bring ourselves to write about them. "That's okay": This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can say to a man. "That's okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you retributions for whatever it is that you have done. "That's okay" is often used with the word "fine" and in conjunction with a raised eyebrow "go ahead." Further alluding to some point in the near future, after she has plotted and planned, when you are going to be in some mighty big trouble. "Please do": This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance by telling the truth, so be careful, and you may not get a "That's okay." "Thanks": A woman is thanking you. Do not faint. Just say, "You're welcome." "Thanks a lot": This is much different from the meaning of "Thanks." A woman will say, "Thanks a lot," when she is actually ticked off at you. It signifies that you have hurt her in some callous way, and will be followed by the loud sigh. Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the loud sigh because she will only tell you "Nothing." I hope this clears up any misunderstandings.
  • I think men and women do that at times. It is a way of avoiding the question. The thing is, if something is wrong, honesty is always best. Maybe some women feel that even when she does say what is wrong, he still does not understand..so whats the use? I am blunt and honest, so when I get upset I am on top of the issue right away and demanding answers..
  • Usually what it means is we are sick of revisiting the same subject that pissed us off many times before and we don't want to talk about it again for the millionth time because you never seem to get it anyway, for if you did you wouldn't keep doing it. Or you do get and just choose to ignore it.

  • Because #1 your observant enough to see that we are angry #2 then you should know why we are angry #3 why are you asking what's wrong obviously its you or something you did so you should know #4 so if your smart enough to sense the anger take the thought process one step further to figure it out ******Also I must point out that most times it seems when you ask WHY WE ARE ANGRY that really you do know BUT YOU DONT WANT TO GUESS incase it is something else. And your suggestion ends up being something we didn't know about yet or much worse than what we were originally angry about so now your deeper in the hole for opening your mouth and guessing wrong******* WHEW!!!!
