  • I think anything with trans fats. They've been proven to be very unhealthy ... lots of companies have redone their recipes to exclude it and the result seems very acceptable.
  • Meat from animals that weren't naturally raised (free-range, organic, etc.). I think that animal welfare needs to be taken more seriously in our society. If we farm an animal, I think we should be responsible for providing it with a healthy and fulfilling life. Just because we're going to kill it for meat doesn't mean it's life is unimportant.

As a result, the remaining flour in the white bread you buy, contains only poor quality proteins and fattening starch. But that is not the whole story as to the loss of nutrients.
