Yes, punishable by death LOL. The punishment for suicide in UK, both under Scottish law AND English law, is that the person is not allowed to be buried on consecrated ground.

No. It was once - the would-be suicide, if they were saved, was accused of the attempted murder of themselves and could be sentenced to long prison terms. But this law was repealed a *long* time ago - in the 19th century, I think.

yes, if you commit suicide, they will find you & arrest you..

No I believe suicide was illegal ( what are they going to do) but attempted suicide is no longer a crime. The law was changed.

No, not any more, it used to be though. something like a life sentence for attempting and capital punishment for suicide. but it's changed :P
